Logista is firmly committed to sustainability

which will contribute to creating a sustainable economic system, generating stability, social commitment, growth, and sustainable investment

In July 2023, the Board of Directors updated and approved a new sustainability policy to define and establish the main commitments and management and control guidelines to be followed in sustainability matters, promoting creation of long-term value for all our stakeholders and favouring stability and transparency, beyond the economic sphere, to contribute to achieving the the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In addition to updating the sustainability policy, we have drawn up a 3-year ESG strategic plan (2024-2026) with specific objectives and actions aligned with the sustainability commitments reflected in the policy. Some of these objectives include:

Environmental objectives

  • Integrate the fight against climate change into corporate strategy.
  • Promote the circular economy and the prevention and reduction of pollution from our activities.
  • Comply with the applicable regulations and those to which we voluntarily subscribe.
  • Proactive management of risks and opportunities related to climate change, pollution, circular economy, biodiversity and water resources.
  • Monitor key environmental indicators.
  • Collaborate with agencies and stakeholders.
  • Systematically incorporate energy efficiency criteria.
  • Promote respect for the environment and integrate environmental sustainability criteria into the supply chain.

    Social objectives

    • Establish channels for relations, dialogue and participation with stakeholders.
    • Contribute to the socio-economic development of society
    • Promote creating job opportunities.
    • Ensure maximum transparency in the contracting process and prevent risks of fraud in procurement processes.
    • Identify the potential human rights impacts of our operations and activities, and have a human rights due diligence system in place.
    • Implement and maintain mechanisms that guarantee the right to data protection of all natural persons who interact with Logista.

    Good governance objectives

    • Promote best corporate governance practices.
    • Integrate into corporate governance policies due diligence policies for the identification, prevention and resolution of adverse human rights and environmental impacts.
    • Foster a culture of compliance.
    • Have an organisational and management model for the prevention of corruption, fraud and bribery.
    • Tax compliance model based on good tax practices, transparent and in accordance with the requirements of each of the markets and countries where we operate.
    • Establish the necessary internal systems of control and management of the Company's risks and opportunities, including those related to sustainability.
    • Create long-term sustainable value, promote integrity and transparency in reporting, and ensure equal treatment in the exercise of shareholder rights.
    • Effective complaint and grievance mechanisms, with adequate safeguards and appropriate resolution procedures, to address potential adverse impacts on human rights and the environment.

    In addition, we have been certified for criminal compliance, anti-bribery and whistle-blower channel management in 2023, further strengthening its position as a market leader and reinforcing its commitment to transparency and integrity in all its activities. 

     

    Some of the commitments that are aligned with the sustainability objectives are:

     

     

     
    • Drive 90% of the kilometres with sustainable vehicles by 2026.[1]
    • Promoting decarbonisation using biofuels and increasing the use of electric vehicles, as well as modal transport and duo-trailers.
    • Reach 33,800 points of sale involved in the new generation product recycling initiative in Italy, Spain and France by 2026.

    • Achieve 95% Talent Density in critical positions by 2026, ensuring a successful diversification strategy.
    • Strengthen our diversity leadership with a target of 30% women in middle/senior management positions.
    • Encourage agreements with foundations and other organisations to promote the integration of vulnerable people.
    • We work with the objective of zero accidents and the well-being of our employees.
    • Evaluate suppliers that have a contract with Logista in excess of €10M by 2026.
    • Strengthen cyber security awareness and training programmes.
